மலைநாடு என்பது ஓர் ஊடகம் மட்டுமல்ல; அது ஒரு வரலாற்றுச் சிந்தனை, சமூகப் பொறுப்பு, மற்றும் தேசிய ஒற்றுமைக்கான அர்ப்பணிப்பு.

A Vision Born
on Pongal Day
1959 — The Beginning
The Malainadu Weekly was founded on Pongal Day by V. M. Sundaram, with support from brothers Tun V. T. Sambanthan and V. Krishnan. Recognising the need for a Tamil unifying voice in post-independence Malaya, he established the publication to serve that purpose.

Growth — Kalasalai Printers
Transforming a coconut oil factory into a full-fledged printing press named "Kalasalai Printers," Malainadu grew to print thousands of copies weekly — a testament to his foresight, courage, and determination.

1963 & Beyond
Though the magazine ceased publication in 1963, its ideals and social mission continue to transcend time. New Malainadu carries that same legacy into the digital era.
